Mobile application (Islami)
This section applies specifically to Islami, our mobile application for prayer times, the Qibla direction, the Qur'ān, du'ās and reminders. The App's data practices differ from those of the Website described in the rest of this Policy:
No account, no personal data. The App has no sign-in and does not collect, store, sell, or have access to your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information. We operate no servers that receive your data.
No cookies or tracking. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies and does not use cookies.
On-device storage. Your preferences, bookmarks, prayer log, tasbīḥ counts and favourites are saved only on your device (and your own iCloud device backup, if you enable it). They are never sent to us.
Location. With your permission, the App uses your device's location to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction and to show your location's name. Your approximate coordinates are sent directly from your device to third-party calculation services (Aladhan and OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to perform these calculations. We do not receive or store your location, and you can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Third-party content. The App fetches Islamic content from public APIs: Aladhan (prayer times), AlQuran Cloud and the Islamic Network CDN (Qur'ān text and recitation audio), and OpenStreetMap Nominatim (place names). Requests include only what is needed to fulfil them, and each provider has its own privacy policy.
Notifications. Prayer-time alerts and reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we do not send push notifications from a server.
Children. The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
